MADISON-BASED MADER DESIGNS EARNS NATIONAL AWARD FOR ESSER PLACE PROJECT

Congrats to Stephanie Mader , named National CotY for commercial interior by The National Association of the Remodeling Industry!

Madison-based Mader Designs was named  2018 National Contractor of the Year (COTY) for Commercial Interior by The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for a comprehensive remodeling project in Esser Place, a Class A office center located in Middleton, Wisconsin.

Mader Designs’ award-winning project converted a traditional, structured office area into an open-office concept for more than 200 employees of Esker, Inc, a global leader in document process automation software.

“Our goal was to create a work environment that would help the client attract and retain the software development talent it needs,” said Stephanie Mader, owner of Mader Designs. “We formed collaborative spaces with fresh lighting and we incorporated unique local influences such as barn wood and locally inspired artwork. In addition to major interior layout and office flow changes, we added a new grand entrance to the building.  The end result is a millennial- engaging design that achieved the client’s goal and was accomplished on time and on budget.”

Contractors from seven regions nationwide vie for the NARI sponsored COTY awards on an annual basis. Most projects are an improvement or an addition to an existing structure.  Winners are selected by an impartial panel of judges, who are experts within the industry and associated fields.  Judging is focused on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation and degree of difficulty.

Mader Designs is a privately held company that specializes in commercial and residential interior design, including color concepts, furniture, space planning, flooring, granite and installation.
